VENUS RETROGRADE IN SCORPIO AND LIBRA✨🌀💎
October 3 – November 14, 2026
”The Initiation of the Heart”
On October 3, the planet of love, beauty, pleasure, relationships, values, and everything we consider precious in life, Venus, begins her retrograde journey, which will last until November 14.
But the story doesn’t end there. Venus will continue through its post-retrograde shadow until December 15, when it will pass for the final time over the degree from which its retrograde journey began.
This time, Venus’s journey resembles a descent into the Underworld, as it begins in Scorpio, where Venusian qualities do not express themselves easily, leading us beneath the surface, into the depths where the hidden or the things we do not want to see reside.
The retrograde journey begins at 8° of Scorpio and, on October 25, Venus reaches 0°, while Mercury will also be retrograde in the sign from October 25 to November 13, moving between 5° and 20°.
We are therefore entering a period of deep reassessment, in which relationships, emotions, desires, values, creativity, and financial matters may require a second look.
Venus initially moves through the realm ruled by Mars, where the need for harmony and balance encounters passion, intensity, longing for depth, and the desire to discover what truly lies beneath the surface.
At its lower expression,Venus in the sign of Scorpio can manifest through control, manipulation, jealousy, obsession, or attachment. It can make us hold on to something not because it still belongs in our lives, but because we are afraid of losing it.
All of this will be intensified by Venus’s square to Pluto, an aspect that began in September and continues through October, becoming exact on October 20, and again on December 9, with Venus direct.
Pluto brings hidden and forbidden matters to the surface. Hidden desires, unspoken needs, fears of loss, power struggles, dependencies, and issues surrounding personal and material worth and trust may now come to the forefront.
Venus retrograde brings us back to old desires, relationships, values, and choices so that we can examine whether they still represent who we are.
People from the past may return, but the more important question is what their return will awaken within us.
An old relationship may appear again to show us what has changed. A feeling we believed we had overcome may return to reveal something we need to understand. A desire may be reborn so that we can discover what it truly represents.
As Pluto is part of this process, we may discover things we did not know or things we had been avoiding seeing. We may change our minds about existing connections, realize that a relationship or partnership has become toxic, or recognize that we need to let go of something we had considered an inseparable part of our lives.
Some relationships may undergo a profound test, while others may move toward greater honesty and a deeper connection, precisely because they can no longer be sustained by illusions.
At the same time, matters involving investments, inheritances, taxation, shared finances, sexuality, and taboos may come to the forefront.
On October 25, Venus will retrograde back into Libra, the sign of its rulership, retracing 22° to 29° of the sign.Venus retrograde in Libra calls us to reassess balance, reciprocity, compromise, our choices, the important contracts of our lives, and the way we relate to one another.
It is time to ask ourselves: Where are we giving more than we receive? Where are we compromising to preserve peace? Where have we sacrificed part of ourselves to avoid losing a relationship?
Can we love without abandoning ourselves?
Venus will pass through these same degrees again direct, which means that what we are examining now will not remain merely at the level of awareness. We will have the opportunity to reposition ourselves differently once we have a clearer picture and greater awareness.
Venus retrogrades, occurring approximately every year and a half, give us the opportunity to reassess what we value in relationships, in material matters, and within ourselves.
What do we truly enjoy? What still holds value? What has become a habit? What may have even become a form of excess?
Venus seems to descend into the Underworld, bringing us information that we could not see before. Information about how we love, what we desire, where we are afraid, where we become attached, and what value we place upon ourselves.
Patterns we may have encountered during previous Venus retrogrades in Scorpio and Libra, in the autumns of 2018, 2010, and 2002, that may have offered us similar evolutionary lessons.
Within this journey, there is also an exceptionally important moment.
On October 24, retrograde Venus will meet the Sun at 0°45′ Scorpio, forming an inferior conjunction.
This will be a special Venus Star Point, a point of transition from one Venus cycle to the next.
Venus will then be at the heart of the Sun, invisible from Earth, and symbolically will pass from one world into another. This may be a moment of inner revelation, when something suddenly becomes clear. A relationship, a desire, a financial choice, a value, or a way we see ourselves may be revealed that we can no longer ignore. And here lies the true rebirth of Venusian matters.
It is not necessarily the moment when something begins externally, but the moment when something changes within us and from there, our lives may begin to change as well.
This particular inferior conjunction carries even greater significance because it marks the final Venus Star Point in Scorpio of this larger cycle in our lifetime.
Thus, October 24 may serve as a point of a great transition in matters of Venus, in love, relationships, desire, value, and in the way we exchange energy, emotion, and resources.
Something old comes to completion, and something new begins to emerge.
What does this Venus retrograde ask of us, in the houses and areas of life through which it is transiting, as well as in the areas of life it rules?
As long as we do not yet have the complete picture, we are being asked to leave space for observation.
This is not the most appropriate period for making rushed and definitive decisions regarding important emotional or financial matters.
We do not need to forbid ourselves from loving, meeting someone, enjoying ourselves, or making a choice.
What we need during this period is greater self-care, awareness, and space for healing.
A new relationship that begins during the retrograde period may need time to reveal its true form. People returning from the past may return for reconnection, but also to complete something that was never fully brought to closure.
It is therefore not necessarily either the beginning or the end. It is a second look, and this is why we do not need to decide immediately.
Let us observe. Let us listen. Let us allow things to reveal themselves for what they truly are, so that we can see what still resonates.
The same caution is needed with major financial commitments, creative ventures, and aesthetic changes or procedures, because the way we evaluate a choice may change once Venus returns to direct motion.
On a collective level, issues surrounding value, the economy, relationships, alliances, and imbalances of power return to the forefront. Scorpio brings hidden mechanisms, dependencies, financial interconnections, shared interests, power, and control to the surface. Libra, in turn, will direct our attention toward justice and the models we relate, cooperate, and exchange with one another.
With Pluto in Aquarius, this is a time to redefine the meaning of value and ask which system of values truly belongs to the future, and which is maintained simply out of habit.
This period is more suitable for reassessment, renegotiation, revisiting, and revising than rushing final decisions.
The post-retrograde shadow, from mid-November until December 15, will allow us to see the complete picture and understand what truly took place throughout this cycle.
Venus does not turn back so that we can relive the same things, but to show us the truth.
When she finally moves forward again, the point will not be to reclaim what we lost, but to choose again, knowing this time, what is truly worth choosing.✨
May this be a blessed and illuminating passage for all!
With love💓💓💓
